This blog has been dormant for far too long. I’ve been tied up in a few other projects and haven’t been able to give it the attention it deserves. I’m turning things over to my good friend Pat, an avid soda drinker who is always seeking out new brands. He’ll fill you in with the scoop and keep you in the loop.

Dr. Brown Double Whammy!

So it’s been awhile. Tour ended, I got sick and I haven’t been drinking a lot lately. I have been on the look out for nice ginger brews though, really cleaning out the sinuses. Anyway here’s a double whammy for ya. I stumbled across a brand called Dr. Brown on the road and picked up a couple of their products, including my most controversial review yet.

Hank’s provides a classic flavor line, with gourmet black cherry

Man I didn’t really care for this one, it’s going to be hard to write about. I can see what they were going for, but they just didn’t execute (we went through a couple bottles of this stuff too).

A taste of North Carolina’s finest, Cheerwine

A lot of people on here have told me to check out the North Carolina brew, Cheerwine and I haven’t been able to find any in the Midwest. However, while in Los Angeles I found a bottle at Greenblatt’s and was finally able to sit down and try it.

Completing the Reed’s rainbow with their cherry brew

So at this point in the game I’ve tried all of Reed’s brews, and I still think I like the spiced apple brew the most. It’s just unlike anything I’ve had, so I’m stoked on it. The raspberry and this cherry are still very good, but they’re too similar to each other. Needless to say though Reed’s has done a great job putting together an unforgettable soda line.
